Our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from grapes primarily grown in Alexander Valley, on sloping vineyards of gravelly soils just north of the town of Healdsburg. There, the cooling influence from the Pacific Ocean moderates the warm Mediterranean climate, thus preserving freshness and texture in the wine. This interplay of warm sun and cool air makes Alexander Valley the ideal winegrowing area in Sonoma County to produce premium Cabernet Sauvignon, that is both fully ripe yet well balanced with acidity.
Our Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is cellared for more than 12 months prior to release, allowing the texture and flavors to harmonize.
Deeply colored, soft textured and full-bodied with black and red currant flavors in addition to plums, black cherries, and lightly toasted oak. The wine's flavors are fresh and vivid, highlighting the wine's fully ripe fruit and balanced acidity. The wine is soft but not lacking structure. Ample tannins provide a backbone to the rich, generous fruit. Pair with barbecued chicken or beef, aged cheeses or a wild mushroom risotto.
