The story of Iron Side Cellars wines

Born to be bold.

It all starts from a vision. And in the case of Iron Side Cellars, that vision was meticulously crafted, bold California wines.

The journey started in 2009. Our bi-coastal winemaking team in Boston and Sonoma County began searching for a selection of special vineyards in California. Working with fruit from Paso Robles, Napa Valley, and Sonoma County we crafted the first vintage of our flagship Iron Side Cabernet Sauvignon. And while the blend has changed in the vintages since, the focus of this wine has remained constant. It is always bold, and it is always packed with some of the best California fruit we can get our hands on.

As we continued to produce Iron Side Cab, we developed great relationships with the vineyards we were working with. And through these relationships we started to gain access to some truly exceptional lots of wine; wines that might find their way into some of the most sought-after bottles in Napa. From those lots of wines we developed a new, super premium blend that went on to become Iron Side Reserve Red.

Our newest addition to the family, launched in the fall of 2017, is Iron Side Reserve Pinot Noir. Each one of these wines, including our new Pinot, carry on the vision that we set out to achieve--to meticulously craft exceptional, bold California wines.
